The ACS Village Development team is pleased to report that we released a few bug fixes last week. The release does not introduce any new features but addresses the following issues that were reported.

Women who lose weight after age 50 and keep it off have a lower risk of breast cancer than women whose weight stays the same, according to a study from researchers at the American Cancer Society, the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and others. Being overweight is a known risk for breast cancer after menopause, but this is the first large study to show that losing weight can reduce this risk. The findings did not include women using post-menopausal hormone therapy.
Throughout the month of October, Chiquita will be offering their customers and followers a series of recipes and resources, to help reduce the community’s risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer. Through their support, Chiquita will be highlighting seven recipes that align with American Cancer Society nutrition guidelines as well as providing American Cancer Society resources and information.
